Our applicants rate us highly

We know that our recruiting processes are on the right track when our applicants speak highly of them. However, when this appreciation holds up under the scrutiny of cross-border comparison in an independent study, and even comes in with an above-average result, this is something very special for SEW-EURODRIVE as an employer, and provides real motivation.

On December 1, 2015, the internationally renowned Candidate Experience Awards were presented in London. SEW-EURODRIVE is one of 15 companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland to receive this accolade. More than 100 employers from the German-speaking region participated in the selection process, which was based on a total of over 5300 applicant evaluations from 2014 and 2015.

SEW-EURODRIVE took part in two survey rounds to reach the Candidate Experience Awards.

Round 1 involved a multi-dimensional online employer survey that primarily focused on recording the quality of the existing recruiting processes. The independent study examined everything from HR management, the management, selection, interviewing and treatment of candidates to the integration of new employees into the company.

Round 2 gave the applicants themselves a say. Since April 2015 (when the new website and eRecruiting platform went live), SEW-EURODRIVE has invited all applicants to complete an anonymous online assessment using an external link. A pleasingly high number of former candidates (407 of 4716 applicants approached in writing) took part.

SEW-EURODRIVE achieved very good results in both rounds, which meant it was able to take one of the sought-after Candidate Experience Awards home from London.

It was especially pleasing that our company performed particularly well in the re-application and recommendation rate in the applicant survey. This means that the majority of the candidates would apply to SEW-EURODRIVE again, and would also recommend that their friends and acquaintances do the same.

We would like to thank all the applicants for their votes and personal assessments. To coin a phrase, “The Oscar goes to ... our candidates”.
